Uff! 's been a hell of a long year, hasn't it?
I haven't updated the journal as often as I had planned, mostly out of lack of time (or clue what to update on, really) so it's my first since June. ooops! xD
anyway, as for dA...my gallery has taken a toll of it's own which is yet another proof that an artist's best creation come from unexpected ideas. Because I had, and still have as a matter of fact, titles for alternative deviations saved on my cell phone and hope to get started on them someday. When I first signed up here a year and half ago i was planning to post mostly illustrations, like renditions from my favorite scenes in books. But instead i seem to follow the path of portraits. These are partly requests and some work I did to practice facial features and shadowing. I work only with pencils, carcoal or black pens, because I don't own a scanner and my shitty camera well, makes me give up coloring.
So, soon to come, in the first weeks of January I have a portrait of the band Muse (or only Matthew Bellamy if the to other band members turn out really bad lol) and a big, big project: Jeff Buckley. It's an obsession right now. I don't know how come I've only discovered him now. Everything's Jeff for me nowadays
